The purpose of this event was to demonstrate that tradition doesn't need to be sacrificed for healthful cooking. This event was focused on the Eastern European and Jewish traditional cuisine. A number of traditional Jewish recipes came from austerity Eastern European Jewish peoples had to face over many generations. Today, while living in abundance, we still rely on these ingredients. I aimed to show that we can revel in the abundance we are privy to at this time of our history and readopt the recipes to include this vast abundance.
